Tokyo Olympics – Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya through to semifinals

India’s Ravi Kumar Dahiya won the quarterfinal against Valentino Vangelov of Bulgaria in Wrestling Freestyle (57 kg category) and has advanced to the semifinal.

Ravi Kumar, who looked comfortable throughout, took a convincing lead of 14-4 against Valentino Vangelov, won by technical superiority.

The semifinal against Kazakh wrestler Nurislam Sanayev is scheduled at 2.45 PM IST, August 4th. Nurislam defeated former world champion Yuki Takahashi of Japan in the quarterfinal to face off with India’s Ravi.

Earlier, Ravi Kumar Dahiya defeated Colombia’s Oscar Tigreros in the opening bout (round of 16) to advance to the quarterfinals. The Indian wrestler won the match 13-2 with technical superiority.
