Pawan Kalyan kicks off his election campaign from Pithapuram

In the run-up to the 2024 elections, Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Janasena party, launched his campaign in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh, on March 30.

The Jana Sena chief, who is contesting from the constituency, emphasized the importance of unity among the opposition parties and the need for a comprehensive development agenda to address the issues faced by the people of the region.

About the alliance with TDP and BJP – Pawan Kalyan highlighted the alliance between his party, the Janasena, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and stressed the importance of the alliance in challenging the ruling YSR Congress Party and providing a strong and better alternative for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

About local issues – Pawan Kalyan acknowledged the unique challenges faced by the people of Pithapuram, such as the erosion along the Uppada coast and the plight of farmers affected by the Kakinada SEZ project. He promised to address the issues and work towards the overall development of the region.

About skill development and job creation – He emphasized the need for skill development and job creation, particularly for the youth. He criticized the YSRCP’s focus on short-term financial incentives and urged the people to think beyond temporary measures and focus on long-term growth and opportunities.

About healthcare and infrastructure – Pawan Kalyan promised to establish quality healthcare centers in the area and leverage his connections in the medical profession to ensure the delivery of healthcare services. He also pledged to develop the region’s infrastructure, including constructing better roads and establishing skill development centers.

About women’s safety and welfare – Kalyan raised concerns about the safety and welfare of women in the region, citing the case of a missing woman and the need for better security measures. He promised to prioritize the safety and well-being of women and children if elected to power.
