Coronavirus: Andhra Pradesh cases at 647, 17 deceased

Andhra Pradesh reported 44 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, and as of April 19th, the COVID-19 cases are up at 647. Seventeen people have died from the virus so far.

Across the state, 565 cases are currently ‘active’.

Kurnool sees a sudden spike

Reporting 26 cases overnight, Kurnool is now the district with the highest number of cases with the total tally at 158 (153 active cases), followed by Guntur, which reported with 129 cases (125 active cases). Nellore registered 67 (65 active cases), and Krishna district reported 75 coronavirus cases, amongst which 66 remain active.

While those who are classified as either cured or discharged stand at 65, 565 coronavirus cases are active and being treated. As per the official numbers, 26958 samples were tested so far, and 26311 of the results were negative.

While 23 patients were reported cured in the last 24 hours, one succumbed to the virus in Kurnool district, taking the number of deceased to seventeen.
