Rest of the US and Canada

The winter storm that turned into a bomb cyclone has wreaked havoc across most of the US and Canada and left at least 70 people dead.

Over a million households lost their power supply as the storm traversed through the Plains and Midwest.

Thousands are still without power in the states of Washington and Oregon in the US and the provinces of Quebec and Ontario in Canada.

Thousands of flights were either delayed or canceled in the US during the peak holiday season.
