Actor Nagarjuna got nostalgic on September 20, his legendary father Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s Birthday, and surprised his fans with a sweet, heart-warming video.
Akkineni Nagarjuna dressed up in his father’s favorite Pondur Khaddar and even wore the late ANR’s ‘Navaratnala Haaram’ (Necklace with Nine Gems) and ‘Navaratnala Ungaram’ (Ring with Nine Gems)’ to mark the special occasion.
Mr. Nagarjuna also wore his father’s watch and joked that it is actually his senior in age.
Wearing his father’s favorite items and dressing in his favored style makes him feel like his father is still very much with him, said Nagarjuna, leaving the fans with the catchphrase ‘ANR Lives On.’
Indeed, the late actor lives on in several timeless classics, and his incredible career serves as an inspiration to contemporary actors.
Mr. Nageswara Rao passed away on January 22, 2014.
