Whether the formal declaration on Vijayadashami would transform Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) into a national party or witness the launch of a separate entity remains to be confirmed by the TRS Chief himself.

‘Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi’ is in circulation as the possible name for the upcoming party.

The TRS leader who spearheaded the Telangana statehood agitation had already been clear about his foray into national politics and has been calling for a ‘Qualitative Change’ and meeting the leaders of political parties not linked with the BJP.

The TRS founder will also address a public gathering in Delhi on October 9.

TRS vs. BJP

TRS and BJP are at loggerheads in Telangana, especially since BJP won the by-elections in Dubbaka and Huzurabad and secured nearly 50 corporator seats in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, proving itself to be a formidable opponent.

The Chief Minister and his cabinet avoided attending a get-together at the Governor’s residence during the Independence Day celebrations. Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan served as BJP State President in Tamil Nadu before she gave up party affiliation and became the Governor of Telangana and Puducherry.

Chief Minister KCR did not go to the airport to receive the Prime Minister on at least two occasions recently.
