Kate (Catherine) Middleton, the Princess of Wales, revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. Kate shared the information via a video.

What did Princess Catherine say?

Kate started by expressing her personal thanks for all the messages of support and understanding she had since received. She acknowledged that the past couple of months were challenging for the entire family.

She said she had a fantastic medical team and that she was grateful.

About the diagnosis and treatment

Kate said that she had a major abdominal surgery done in January in London, and it was thought of as non-cancerous. But later tests showed cancer, and so a course of preventative chemotherapy was suggested, and she is undergoing the treatment.

Kate said she is getting stronger every day by focusing on things that help her heal.

How is the Royal Family handling it?

She said that her family is trying to process this huge shock privately, and it took time to explain everything to her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, in a way that was appropriate for them.

She said her husband, William, was a great source of comfort and reassurance.

As a family, they needed time, space, and privacy while completing the treatment, she said.

Asks cancer patients not to lose hope

Addressing anyone who is facing cancer in any form, Kate asked them not to lose hope and faith, assuring them that they are not alone.

The Photo Controversy and Criticism

Kate Middleton has recently been in the news after several photo distribution agencies withdrew a royal family picture that she shared, citing concerns regarding ‘alterations to the image.’ She explained that, like many other amateur photographers, she too experimented with editing.

Her husband, Prince William, is next in line for the British throne.
