Former Army Chief Deepak Kapoor joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in his Bharat Jodo Yatra on Jan 8, 2023.
After BJP pointed out that the retired General was indicted in the Adarsh Scam, Congress hit back, saying it was an attempt to malign a highly decorated General, who is the recipient of several medals in his career of four decades.
Former RAW Chief A.S. Dulat had also recently joined Rahul Gandhi in the Yatra.
The long walk aimed at engaging the public has also seen the participation of a few cinema actors, including Kamal Haasan, the President of the political party ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam.’
Rahul Gandhi’s marathon walk across several states began in September, 2022, in Tamil Nadu and is likely to conclude this January.
