Raveesh Kumar – Official Spokesperson MEA

Two flights are being planned to bring Indian Nationals from Hubei Province in China to India, MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted this evening. The logistics are currently being worked out with the Chinese authorities on the ground, he added.

With a host of nations queued up to evacuate their citizens from Hubei province in China, India had been in constant talks with China to have its nationals flown back as well.

Indian Embassy had already offered food supplies etc. to Indian nationals and offered toll-free numbers for more support. Indians can contact the embassy at (+8618610952903, +8618612083629, +8618612083617) or dedicated email ID helpdesk.beijing@mea.gov.in

The returning Indian nationals are very likely to be quarantined for a few days until they receive a full clearance from the Doctors. The coronavirus is known to exhibit no symptoms upon infection, and that makes it more difficult to give a complete health clearance to someone who is returning from the affected region.
