The Central Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating the murder case of late MP YS Vivekananda Reddy, has postponed the inquiry of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy from April 17 to April 18.

Although Mr. Avinash Reddy had appeared before the CBI earlier, the latest round of questioning follows the arrest of his father, YS Bhaskar Reddy.

Mr. Bhaskar Reddy’s arrest on April 16 sparked speculation that MP Avinash Reddy could also be arrested.

Meanwhile, Mr. Avinash Reddy approached the High Court of Telangana for anticipatory bail.

Late Vivekananda Reddy, former MP of Kadapa and a brother of late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was murdered on March 15, 2019. His daughter Sunitha Narreddy raised concerns over the possibility of an unfair investigation in Andhra Pradesh and approached the Supreme Court, resulting in the apex court transferring the case to the CBI in Hyderabad.
