Andhra Pradesh gets new CJ; Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra Sworn in

Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on October 13.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada.

Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath of office.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated the new Chief Justice. Also present at the venue were the other Judges of the High Court and other dignitaries.

Justice P.K. Mishra had come in from the High Court of Chattisgarh, where he was the acting Chief Justice.

Justice Arup Kumar Goswami, who had hitherto served as the Chief Justice of AP, was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Chattisgarh yesterday.
