Worldwide deaths from the coronavirus nearing 5 million

As of October 31, John Hopkins University COVID-19 tracker put the total number of infections at 246,672,410 (Above 246 million / 24.66 Cr). The total number of deaths from the pandemic is nearing five million (4,999,034).

The US reported nearly 46 million cases and 745,805 fatalities to date. The country suffered considerably from the recent delta variant but managed to accelerate the vaccination program.

The UK recorded over 9 million cases and 141,055 deaths. The mortality rate seemed higher than any other nation at one stage, but the country has pulled through.

Russia has had over 8.3 million cases to date, and the country has lost over 234,000 people.

India reported over 34 million cases and over 458,000 fatalities.

Brazil recorded over 21.8 million infections and over 607,000 deaths.

Nearly 7 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines are administered. But because an overwhelming majority of the approved vaccines are multi-dose, a huge number of people are not considered fully vaccinated.
