A shooting incident at a Walmart supercenter in Virginia left six people dead. Four others who sustained injuries are being treated at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The attack unfolded shortly after 10 PM local time at the store on Sam’s circle in Chesapeake.
The shooter, an employee at the store, has also died. The authorities believe that he shot himself.
Chesapeake Mayor Rick West said the tight-knit local community is shaken by the news and praised the first responders.
The tragedy comes just days after a shooting incident at a nightclub in Colorado that left five people dead.
