TDP leader Pattabhi arrested; YSRCP and TDP continue to trade insults

The exchange of unsavory insults between TDP and YSRCP leaders in Andhra Pradesh resulted in the arrest of TDP leader Pattabhi Ram around 9 PM on October 20.

Mr. Pattabhi was taken to the Governorpet Police Station. The TDP spokesperson is booked under IPC sections 153 (A), 505 (2), 504 (R/W), and 120 (B).

Hours before the arrest, Mr. Pattabhi recorded a video claiming full health and well-being so that any physical assault in police custody could be identified later.

Earlier, the Telugu Desam Party office was attacked by the ruling YSRCP cadre after spokesperson Pattabhi used a derogatory term against the Chief Minister.

While the exchange of insults between the two parties is a regular occurrence, the choice of words has gone from bad to worse.
