Rahul Gandhi goes to Viashno Devi temple; tweets ‘Silent Observations’

After tweeting about the woes of students and farmers and venting his disappointment at the government on September 7, a couple of days later, Rahul Gandhi tweeted ‘Silent Observations’ on September 9, along with a scenic picture of the Trikuta mountains.

The congress ex-President hashtagged ‘Ma Vaishno Devi.’

So, where did he go?

Vaishno Devi temple, one of the ‘Shakti Peethas,’ is held sacred by Hindus and Sikhs alike.

Located in the hilly region of Katra town in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the temple can be reached either by walking or hiring a mule as a vehicle.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi walked his way to the famous temple, and some videos circulating on the internet showed a sweaty Rahul, accompanied by two bodyguards.

However, some videos shot later in the night showed an eager party cadre trying to keep pace with their leader.

Jammu and Kashmir wing of the Congress party retweeted this video showing Rahul Gandhi offering his prayers at Vaishno Devi temple.
