Queen Elizabeth II passes away; Charles is the new King

The British Royal Family has announced that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. The 96-year-old monarch had recently completed 70 years on the throne.

Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and fourteen other sovereign nations, including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, is under medical supervision at Balmoral castle, a house in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

The BBC has reported that the royal family, including Prince William, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, have landed at the Aberdeen Airport.

Earlier, the Royal Family issued a press statement asserting that the Queen is comfortable yet under medical supervision because of Doctors’ concerns.

Prime Minister Liz Truss expressed ‘deep concern’ on behalf of the United Kingdom.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada conveyed the best wishes from his nation to the Queen.

This year, the UK and other commonwealth nations are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II as the Platinum Jubilee. Elizabeth II acceded to the throne on February 6, 1952.
