PM Modi to visit Gujarat and Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Tamil Nadu today. Mr. Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundations for several projects and also participate in events.

Gujarat, July 28

Prime Minister will inaugurate the 300 Cr Powder Plant at Sabar Dairy with a capacity of around 120 metric tonnes per day (MTPD). 

The energy-efficient Plant with almost zero emission is equipped with a fully automated bulk packing line.

Mr. Modi will also inaugurate the 125 Cr Aseptic Milk Packaging Plant at Sabar Dairy, which boasts a capacity of 3 Lakh Litre per day.  

The projects are expected to boost the rural economy and increase the income of local farmers and milk producers.

Sabar Dairy is a part of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which operates under the Amul brand.

PM to declare 44th Chess Olympiad open

Prime Minister will declare the 44th Chess Olympiad open at around 6 PM today. 

India is hosting the Chess Olympiad for the first time and is fielding the biggest contingent ever in JLN stadium, Chennai. 

With 187 countries participating, this will be the largest participation in any Chess Olympiad

July 29 – PM to attend the 42nd Convocation of Anna University

On July 29, at around 10 AM, the Prime Minister will attend the 42nd Convocation of Anna University. 

Mr. Modi will present medals and also address the gathering.

Back to Gujarat

Later, the Prime Minister will travel back to Gujarat, to Gandhinagar, to visit GIFT City, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects at around 4 PM. 

GIFT city (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) was envisioned as an integrated global hub for financial and technology services.

Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Headquarters of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA).

The IFSCA is the unified regulator for the development of financial products, financial services, and financial institutions in International Financial Services Centres (IFSCs) in India. 

The building is reported to be an iconic structure, reflective of the growing prominence of GIFT-IFSC as a leader in the international domain.
