Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on September 15, 2022, to participate in the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The Prime Minister was personally received by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Samarkand Governor, Ministers, and other senior officials from the Government of Uzbekistan.
Prime Minister will participate in the SCO Summit on September 16.
PM Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with the President of Uzbekistan and some of the leaders attending the Summit.
Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, had extended the invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the meeting.
