PM Modi addresses Indian Diaspora in Sydney; unveils ‘Little India’

The two leaders met at the QUAD summit in Hiroshima shortly before their bilateral discussions in Australia.

He said the relationship between the nations is based on mutual trust and respect.

India and Australia are closer friends than ever before, said Mr. Albanese.

PM Modi unveils the foundation for ‘Little India’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the foundation stone for ‘Little India.’ A part of Harris Park near Parramatta in Sydney will now be called ‘Little India,’ owing largely to the presence of a huge Indian community in the area.

Over 700,000 people in Australia are of Indian ancestry.
