Bob McCooey, the Chairman for Asia Pacific at NASDAQ paid tribute to India’s Republic Day and recounted that it is the anniversary of the Indian Constitution. Consul General at New York’s Indian Consulate, Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty, who attended the ceremony, thanked Mr. McCooey for his gesture.
Mr. Chakravorty expressed his optimism in the Indian economy’s growth and reiterated the Indian Government’s goal of achieving a ‘five trillion dollar economy.’ The Consul General also expressed his belief that the number of Indian companies listed with NASDAQ will eventually go from 4 to 150 by the next decade.
