India loses the opening match to Pakistan in T-20 World Cup

India started the T-20 World Cup with a loss, while Pakistan won without losing a wicket.

India, favorites to win tonight’s game, batted first and posted a score of 151/7 after playing the full 20 overs.

The men in blue were off to a bad start as opener Rohit Sharma was trapped LBW in the first ball he faced from Shaheen Afridi.

Another opener KL Rahul scored 3 runs in 8 balls before being bowled out by Shaheen Afridi in the second over of the match. Later, the replays suggested that it was a No Ball that sent Rahul back to the pavilion.

Captain Virat Kohli hit 57 (49) and steadied the scoreboard, while Rishabh Pant hit 39 (30).

Pakistan chased the target easily enough in 17.5 overs without losing a wicket.

Mohammad Rizwan scored 79 (55), and Skipper Babar Azam hit 68 (52).
