FIFA World Cup 2022 – Saudi Arabia upsets Argentina

Saudi Arabia pulled off a stunning victory against Argentina in the Football World cup. The Saudis defeated the two-time Champions 2 – 1.

Saudis defy all odds

Argentina, riding high on a 35-match winning streak, looked a clear favorite in the first game of Group – C.

Soccer superstar Lionel Messi used a penalty kick in the 10th minute of the match to give Argentina a one-goal lead against Saudi Arabia.

Argentina’s lead would continue into the second half, but not for long.

The Green Falcons (Saudi Team) rose to the occasion, as Saleh Al-Shehri’s left-footed shot found the inside corner of Argentina’s goal post.

And within 5 minutes, Salem Al-Dawsari shot the football to the right corner of the goalpost to put the Green Falcons in the lead.

Host Qatar loses to Ecuador

In Group A, Ecuador defeated the tournament host Qatar 2 – 0.

Ecuador Captain Enner Valencia scored both goals.
