Chandrababu Naidu, who spent over 50 days in judicial custody for his alleged role in the Skill Development Scam and is currently on a health-related interim bail, was granted bail by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

The High Court said it was not presented with any evidence linking Chandrababu to the alleged diversion of funds in the Skill Development Program.

The Court noted that over 2 Lakh people were trained under the Skill Development Program.

Opining that Chandrababu Naidu could not be held responsible for any WhatsApp conversations between the key employees of Siemens and DesignTech, the Court further said that the former Chief Minister was implicated in the case 22 months after beginning the inquiry and shortly before his arrest on September 9.

The conditions of the current bail that prevent TDP Chief Chandrababu from participating in political activity and holding rallies will stand nullified after November 29.
