AP CM YS Jagan injured at a rally in Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was injured by an unidentified assailant who hurled a stone at him during an election campaign in Vijayawada on April 13, 2024.

The incident took place as the Chief Minister was atop a bus, engaging with the crowd at Vivekananda School Centre in Singh Nagar, Vijayawada, when a stone struck him, leading to an injury on his left eyebrow.

The attack occurred amidst the Chief Minister’s ‘Memantha Siddham Bus Yatra,’ ahead of the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls scheduled for May 13, with vote counting set for June 4.

The YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) pointed fingers at the TDP (Telugu Desam Party) for orchestrating the attack. The YSRCP shared photos of the injured Chief Minister on X, condemning the attack and attributing it to political adversaries.
