Coronavirus: Telangana reports 700 cases, 18 deaths

Telangana registered 50 new cases on Thursday, April 16th, taking the positive COVID-19 cases to 700. Eighteen people have died from the virus so far.

Fifty new cases were registered today and 68 people are discharged. Eighteen people have died from the virus. As per the official numbers released by the Government, 496 coronavirus cases are currently active and 186 people have been declared ‘recovered.’

GHMC registers the highest number of positive COVID-19 cases

So far, the GHMC area had registered the highest number of cases in the state with the total tally at 374 (240 active cases). Nizamabad is at a distant second with 58 (42 active cases), followed by Vikarabad at 32.

While Jangaon district had registered no coronavirus case so far, Siddipet, Rajanna Siricialla, and Mahbubabad have recorded one case each.

Government Directives

People are advised to stay indoors and adhere to lockdown guidelines.

Whether it be the people who are permitted to travel for groceries or medicines or whether it be the people who are working as part of essential services, everyone is now required to wear a face mask before stepping on to the street.
