Coronavirus: Andhra Pradesh cases go up to 525, 14 deaths reported

Andhra Pradesh reported 23 new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday, April 15th, taking the COVID-19 cases to 525. Fourteen people have died from the virus so far.

Of the 23 new cases, thirteen are from Kurnool, four from Guntur, and three from Kadapa district, two from Nellore and one is from Ananthapur.

Across the state, 491 cases are currently ‘active’.

Guntur District registers highest cases in AP

Guntur emerged as the district with the highest number of cases with the total tally at 122 (118 active cases), Kurnool stood second with 110 cases (108 active cases), followed by Nellore at 58 (55 active cases).

While those who are classified as either cured or discharged stand at 16, 475 coronavirus cases are now active. As per the official numbers, 11613 samples were tested so far, and 11088 of the results were negative.
