Coronavirus: Andhra Pradesh cases at 534, 14 deceased

Andhra Pradesh reported 9 new COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, April 16th, taking the coronavirus cases to 534. Fourteen people have died from the virus so far.

Of the 9 new cases, three are from Krishna district, three from kurnool, and three from West Godavari district.

Across the state, 500 cases are currently ‘active’.

Guntur continues to be the district with most cases

Guntur emerged as the district with the highest number of cases with the total tally at 122 (118 active cases), Kurnool stood second with 113 cases (111 active cases), followed by Nellore at 58 (55 active cases). Krishna district reported 48 coronavirus cases, amongst which 40 are active.

While those who are classified as either cured or discharged stand at 20, 500 coronavirus cases are active. As per the official numbers, 20235 samples were tested so far, and 19701 of the results were negative.

Of the 14 deceased, 4 are from Guntur district, 4 from Krishna, 2 from Ananthapur, 2 from Kurnool and 2 are from Nellore district.
