Coronavirus: Andhra Pradesh reports 35 new cases in the last 24 hours, total cases at 757

As of 9 AM, April 21st, Andhra Pradesh reported 35 new coronavirus cases overnight, taking the total to 757. As per the latest health bulletin, of the 5022 samples processed, 35 tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Guntur district reported two deaths taking the number of those deceased from 20 to 22.

Kurnool continues to report the highest number of cases in AP.

Kurnool reported 10 new coronavirus cases taking its total to 184 (175 active cases), and continues to be the district with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh, followed by Guntur at 158 (137 active cases) which reported 9 cases overnight.

As per the Government data, of the 35755 samples collected, 34998 tested negative. While 96 people are classified as either discharged or cured, 3 from Kurnool and one from Nellore had been discharged since yesterday, and 639 coronavirus positive patients continue to be treated.

Northern Andhra districts of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam have reported no positive cases of coronavirus so far.
